CNET Editors' review
Photo Grid offers a dead-simple way to create collages with up to nine photos from your mobile device. It may not be the most powerful app in the world, but it certainly offers most of the customization options you need to make a variety of beautiful collages.
Right when you open the app, Photo Grid asks you what kind of collage you want to make. Choices include Free form, Single photo, Grid (predesigned templates), High (photobooth-style vertical strip), and Wide (horizontal strip of portraits). Regardless of the type you choose, Photo Grid makes it easy to swap photos within, zoom, crop, and switch up the orientation of your collages. It also offers a huge menu of borders and backgrounds to further stylize your work.
When you're done making your collage, you can choose to save it to your device in either JPEG or PNG format. And of course, there's a convenient Share button, which lets you export to any of your installed apps that support photos.
As simple as Photo Grid is, it could stand to add at least a couple of advanced features. In future updates, I'd love to see the option to add captions or filters to individual photos within collages.
Overall, Photo Grid is a fantastic app for photo enthusiasts and social media butterflies. It makes it easy to share a handful of snapshots in a single file, so you don't have to always upload batches of individual photos to your friends.
